Tosh's Milk Chocolate Cake

This has to be the first recipe added as a good chocolate cake is fit for all seasons!

This is a light, and towards crumbly, textured cake. It is especially appealling to children as they all have eyes bigger than their tummies and usually find chocolate cake too rich. This one is not.
Ingredients :
175g SR flour 2 eggs
200g caster sugar 150ml milk
25g cocoa few drops vanilla essence
100g maragrine
pinch salt
Oven temp: 180c
Cooking time : 30 - 35 mins
Method :
  1. Sieve dry ingredients together
  2. Rub in margarine
  3. Mix liquids together and stir into dry ingredients
  4. Beat together well
  5. Grease and line two round sandwich tins
  6. Divide mix between two tins and smooth
  7. Bake at 180c for 30 - 35 mins until the centre top is springy to touch
  8. Remove from tin when cooled slightly and cool completely on baking rack
  9. Ice cakes and decorate as you wish ( I usually choose a choc butter cream)

Good Food

Why a Good Food blog?
I'd like to share and swap recipes and good food ideas - such as - what to do with left over ingredients.

What is Good Food to me?
Good food doesn't have to be elaborate, it can be simply prepared food in season. I prefer to cook dishes from scratch so that I know what is going in - fresh and in season is best.

Recipes and ideas are best when "in season" and you can therefore go and try them out, otherwise they get lost and forgotten.

As the blog evolves I hope to create folders and a system to easily track recipes. All input will be greatly received.
